In the Pre-Procedure Testing position you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring a smooth and safe transition to the day of surgery
• Ensuring the patients guidelines to move forward with procedure, providing necessary instructions leading up to the surgery including transportation, facility, arrival time, eating, drinking and medication instructions
• Acting as a liaison between staff, surgeons and anesthesiologists leading up to the procedure date.
• Working closing with surgical booking office and communication any special circumstance with staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

• Current and unrestricted license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut or the ability to obtain.

• Possess the knowledge and skills necessary to assess health needs of patients and to perform nursing care in a safe, caring manner

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of acute care nursing experience

• BSN or ADN/ASN and actively enrolled in a BSN program

• Epic experience
